I LOVE food!
It's not a big secret.
Food means many many things to me, and the sustaining of life is NOT at the top of my meanings. Ha ha.
I can tell you the first time I tried many different foods in my life. If it was wonderful, or magical, or just really yummy, I know WHERE I tried it, and who made it. It makes THAT much of an impression on me.
I was just telling my husband the other day that I remembered the first time I tried dutch oven scones. I was eight years old, and out to eat with my Father for a Daddy/ Daughter Dinner Date. They brought out a dutch oven scone with a candle for dessert, and I had NO idea what it was. I thought that if it had a candle in it, it couldn't be THAT bad (even if it looked like a piece of chicken. . . and chicken is NOT a dessert).
Well, it definitely was NOT chicken, and was a wonderful delight. And now, over twenty-five years later, I STILL remember.
SO, my grand idea that I came up with YEARS ago, was to create a cookbook, and not only have my favorite recipes BUT also the story that went with it.
More importantly, it is to tell you the story that goes with the FRIEND associated with these magical morsels.
Someday, I hope to publish this. But in the meantime I am happy to have friends and the food we share.
